Basic Nurse Aide Training Program (BNATP)

Certified Nursing Assistants are important members of the health care team whose duties involve caring directly for a patient (as well as indirect patient care tasks) and works under direct or general supervision of a registered nurse.  As a health care giver, CNA's are expected to demonstrate good interpersonal skills when interacting with other members of the health care team and with patients.  CNA's help maintain a functional and aesthetic health care environment, contributing to the patient's well-being.  They are expected to perform unit/area skill competencies and must be sensitive to patient's developmental, age-specific, cultural & spiritual needs.

Basic Nurse Aide Training Program (BNATP) Training is provided by
A PLUS HEALTHCARE TRAINING.  Our program is approved by the Division of Private Business and Vocational Schools of the Illinois Board of Higher Education  (IBHE) and the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH).  Upon completion of the course, the student will receive a certificate of completion.  A State Competency Exam as mandated by (IDPH) must be passed in order to become qualified for employment as a CNA at any healthcare agencies or facilities in Illinois.  IDPH mandates the Basic Nurse Aide Training Program (BNATP) and has set minimum competency requirements. A PLUS HEALTHCARE TRAININGhas followed IDPH's guidelines and chose to set a higher standard than the minimum recommendations.
