EKG Technician

An Electrocardiography Technician (EKG Tech) is an individual, who assist physicians in diagnosing as well as treating heart or cardiac, and blood vessel or peripheral vascular ailments. They are also referred to as cardiovascular technicians or electrocardiograph technician.  They operate and are responsible for the total care of test devices or equipments. They also 
explain procedures and processes to patients, and compare findings to the standards to determine any problems.

The EKG Technician Program is provided by A PLUS HEALTHCARE TRAINING.  It is approved 
by the Division of Private Business and Vocational Schools of the Illinois Board of Higher Education  (IBHE) and follows the guidelines set-fort by the National Healthcareer Association (NHA).  

Upon completion of the course, the student will receive a certificate of completion and will qualify to take  the written certification exam through the National Healthcareer Association(NHA).  Being a Certified EKG Technician will qualify the student for employment as anEKG Technician at any healthcare agencies or facilities in Illinois. 

All of A PLUS HEALTHCARE TRAINING's requirements and expectations must be met to successfully complete the program.

Admission / Eligibility Requirements:

  • At least 18 years old & have a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • View patients in a holistic approach to improve their quality of life. 
  • Must be able to multi-task and possess critical thinking abilities.
  • Sign a Criminal Background check agreement. 
  • Sign an agreement to disclose medical information.
  • Complete & sign all A Plus Healthcare Training forms
